Michael and Jeanne Manning are the husband-and-wife team behind Manning's Magnolia Mercantile, a community-focused marketplace located in the heart of downtown Opelika.
As lifelong believers in the value of hard work, faith, and community, we created Manning's Magnolia Mercantile to provide affordable year-round retail space for local vendors while offering customers a unique shopping experience filled with handcrafted goods, hometown treasures, and Southern hospitality.
After years of serving others through our careers, family, and businesses, we are excited to create a place where local makers, artists, and entrepreneurs can grow together.

Co-FounderMichael is a retired U.S. Army veteran and longtime operations and maintenance professional. Throughout his military and civilian careers, he developed extensive experience in leadership, logistics, inventory management, and business operations. His passion for supporting small businesses and fostering community connections helped inspire the creation of Manning's Magnolia Mercantile.
jeanne manning
Co-FounderJeanne brings a strong background in retail management, merchandising, and entrepreneurship. She is the founder of Continuum Herbals, a faith-based small business dedicated to handcrafted herbal products, wellness goods, and traditional remedies. During her career, she has successfully managed retail operations, developed merchandising programs, overseen inventory systems, and helped grow retail locations into thriving businesses. Her passion for customer service and creating inviting shopping experiences is at the heart of Manning's Magnolia Mercantile.
